Yoga offers great benefits for our physical and mental health and well-being at all stages of life. It can increase energy levels, relieve pain and discomfort, and reduce stress. There is no need to be flexible to get started because yoga helps our flexibility, an important benefit
as we grow older. Classes aim to explore breathing with movement in order to enhance the benefits of yoga on the mind; reducing stress, relieving anxiety and relaxing your nervous system.
Seasonal Yoga is designed to align our practice with the changing energies of nature and the seasons to create more balance within our lives. In a flowing class that improves physical strength and flexibility, giving balance, harmony and an enhanced sense of well-being the practice is an antidote to the stress and anxiety of modern life.
Penny Bond offers both seasonal hatha flow classes and a vinyasa flow class at The Carrick Clinic. The hatha flow class concentrates on your breath with some gentle yoga moves and is suitable for all abilities. Breathing exercises and postures are designed to leave you feeling relaxed and refreshed. The vinyasa class is suitable for those with some yoga experience already who enjoy a strong practice. Using the breath to help the flow of movement, postures are designed to generate warmth and energy. Our yoga classes are small – with a maximum of 6 students ensuring you get the attention you need.
Penny is not teaching in the studio at the moment due to Corona virus but her yoga classes are continuing online via ‘zoom’.
In these uncertain times it is more important than ever to take care of ourselves. Regular yoga practice can help build immunity, improve our fitness, enhance our sense
of wellbeing, reduce anxiety and restore energy levels.
Classes are currently available Tuesdays 6 – 7.15 pm and Saturdays 10 – 11.15 am. The cost is £5.00/ class. A new Yin yoga class will be starting soon on a Thursday evening.
Concentrating on your breath with flowing yoga moves, the classes are suitable for all abilities. Breathing exercises and postures are designed to leave you feeling relaxed and refreshed. Working in harmony with the seasons, our yoga practice is centred around the breath. Our practice includes postures that stimulate the circulation but also bring a sense of calm.
